Relaxation & Managing Stress

In today’s world with our fast and busy lifestyles, it is almost normal for people to experience pressure. Not all pressure is bad and in fact ‘positive stress’ can be a motivating force. However, problems occur when ‘negative stress’ (that which you feel you can’t handle) is not managed. The results of this type of stress can be very damaging and can have a negative effect on all areas of life; work, relationships, exercise, health and success. And for some individuals, issues around stress can be hard to talk about.

Relaxation is perhaps the single most important key to health and well-being and the best antidote to stress.  Learning how to relax can clear the mind, calm the emotions and result in a healthier body. In a relaxed state people are more creative and can solve problems more easily. They can also see things from a different perspective and do more than they originally thought was possible.

You can’t always change the things that stress you but you can change how you respond to them. Learning to actively balance pressure with time for reflection and relaxation can help you recover from the damaging effects of stress and allow you to operate more effectively, successfully and with ease.

In this workshop, you’ll get some great tips and techniques to help you manage yourself and your daily life better. You’ll experience and learn about the power of relaxation.  A more balanced approach will help you flourish under pressure so that you can achieve more of what you want both personally and professionally.

This workshop is ideal for any group that would benefit from a greater understanding of the effects of stress and would like to learn some relaxation and stress-management techniques. It can be run as described or tailored to meet the specific needs of a group. In addition an 8 week programme of Relaxation, Mindfulness & Meditation can be run.
